Therefore, we see that an apostle’s primary and predominant tools are wisdom and knowledge. Wisdom and knowledge are the hammer and nails of the apostles. They are the blueprints of the building of God, the master-builder’s tools of the trade.

Wisdom and Knowledge are Home-builders:

Before God made anything, He pulled out the blueprints of wisdom (Pro 8:22-29)

• God founded the earth and established the heavens (Pro 3:19-20)

• Wisdom (Homebuilders) gets the house built (Pro 9:1)

• Wisdom builds the house and knowledge decorates it (Pro 24:3-4)

• Wisdom designed and built Solomon’s house (1Ki 10:4; 2Ch 9:3)

• Wisdom finds out the purpose of invented things (Pro 8:12-21)

• Paul was an architect, patterned after the same designer that Solomon used — he was also a “wise masterbuilder” (1Co 3:10-11)

• Paul passes on this same craft and business to us (Eph 1:16-19)

• Paul wants us all to be a master craftsman, working together to build the greatest edifice of all, the Building of Christ’s Body, that the glory of God will fill the House as never before. (Eph 3:16-21)
